Dear Triathlon Community,

As another season ends and we reflect on the major accomplishments achieved, my desire is all consider themselves stronger than last year – which you are! Not only stronger from a simple physical perspective, but from a mental standpoint. With this in mind, the SLTC management team, coaches, members and partners continue to be at the forefront of helping each other accomplish goals once thought unreachable. It is with this application of focus that our club continues to build sustainable relationships with members, vendors, race directors and sponsors.

As I ponder about my role as President of the SLTC, my message of “beating your demons” and supporting “everyone” remains constant. Our club rises above the general competitive nature of triathlon and sincerely focuses on the well-being and personal daily challenges of our members. I believe the last person to cross the finish line works just has hard, if not harder, than the first. Of course, every person has different goals – but all demand the same respect of accomplishment – even if not met because everyone’s “hard” is different. This is something our members represent without a doubt and the driving factor of our continuing growth.

We will continue to show our support to the community by our representation of volunteers at each event. The selflessness and sacrifice of time, money and resources has been present at every event this season. Volunteers from our club offer an experienced set of athletes to provide support, safety, logistics, aide – and preserve affordable pricing. Seeing so many members helping at each race represents another key example of our culture. I can safely speak for everyone by saying Thank You!

Heartfelt appreciation to all who support the operational activities of the SLTC. This club is much larger than one person and could not operate or be successful without the dedication of so many members willing to sacrifice their time. All do so without compensation and without the need for recognition. Please know you are recognized and held in the highest regard.

Although the summer season is ending, take advantage of our winter training programs in order to stay fit and ready for next year’s goals. Our club offers several options at an extremely affordable rate. Whether it is our Kickr Lab, working with a coach, finding a group of others that train at your level or simply powering through on your own – our club will support you.

The Salt Lake Tri Club is committed to growing triathlon through a culture supporting every level of athlete aspiring to make themselves, others and the community better. Thank you to all who represent these values and help towards a healthy and unified lifestyle.
